Construction Estimator

Summary MS Technology is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to support project planning and pre-construction efforts. This role is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates, supporting schedule development, and assisting in the evaluation of contractor bids to ensure best-value project execution. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and scope documents. Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze labor, material, and equipment costs. Assist with development and review of project schedules in coordination with project management. Support evaluation of contractor bids and proposals for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project scope. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams during pre-construction planning. Maintain cost databases and historical estimating information to improve forecasting accuracy. Assist in identifying cost risks, value engineering opportunities, and alternative approaches. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Experience in construction estimating or project controls preferred. Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and cost breakdown structures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
