Divisional Controller Location: Suburbs of Chicago, IL (Onsite – 5 days/week) Salary: $200,000 – $220,000 About the Role Our client, a leading organization, is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations and ensure compliance with US GAAP standards. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring deep expertise in identifying and developing talent and building highly effective teams while driving optimization though process improvements and technology advancements. Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, and internal controls. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements. Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Collaborate with senior leadership on financial strategy and risk management. Manage and mentor accounting team members, fostering professional growth. Drive process improvements and system enhancements to support business objectives. Reporting directly to the CFO with direct contact with executive leadership. Qualifications 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including experience as Controller or Assistant Controller. CPA required. MBA preferred. Public accounting experience and corporate experience preferred. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards. Banking experience with accounting is highly desired. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. Why Join?
