Substitute School Nurse (RN)

The successful candidate will be child-centered and responsible for providing health care to students throughout the school day.Responsibilities include: Providing direct health services to students Administering medications per physician's orders Assessing illnesses and injuries and providing appropriate care Responding to medical emergencies within the building Supporting the health and safety of students, staff, and visitors Job Qualifications Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required Current CPR certification required Strong knowledge of nursing principles, skills, and techniques Ability to take initiative and work independently Ability to remain calm in emergencies Strong communication skills Good moral character
