As the Head Lifeguard, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, well-supervised, and welcoming environment for all pool patrons. Where: Central York High School 601 Mundis Mill Road York, PA 17406 Job Summary: Supervise, train and schedule entry level lifeguards in every aspect of the job. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Enforce all facility policies, rules, and regulations. Coordinate orientation for new lifeguards, supervises, schedules and evaluates (with the Aquatics Director) performance of Lifeguards. Review incident and accident reports with the staff & return to Aquatics Director. Act as liaison between patrons and guards. Recognize and responds effectively to emergencies. Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report unsafe conditions and equipment to supervisor. Complete appropriate records and reports. Attend and participate in all in-service training as a requirement of employment. Responsible for work hours. Must obtain a substitute when unable to work. Keep all certifications current. Complete 500 yards every 2 weeks Complete additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent American Red Cross Lifeguard Training American Red Cross First Aid & CPR for the Professional Rescuer American Red Cross Head Lifeguard Module preferred Must have obtained (or will obtain) valid PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Criminal History Background Checks within the last twelve (12) months.
