BI Architect

Job Description The Business Intelligence (BI) Architect must be experienced in designing, developing and implementing complex Business Intelligence solutions. This person is a member of the team that partners with business to understand their challenges & translate them into requirements. The BI Architect will ensure the creation of production solutions which address quality, performance, availability, scalability, and integrity. This person must be self-motivated and results-oriented with strong data warehouse and business intelligence architecture skills. ResponsibilitiesImplement SAP BW/BI strategy and best practices for global BI solution Creation, maintenance and implementation of BI solutions utilizing SAP BW/BI Active role in data architecture, tools, processes, project assessment and development process design Provide technical overviews and tool demonstrations to BI Power Users, Key Business users and SAP Functional owners Diagnose and resolve application bottlenecks and performance issues via performance tuning/optimization Diagnose and resolve production support issues Work closely with Key Business users to understand their challenges and translate them into requirements Collaborate with SAP Functional owners to ensure the creation of production solutions which address business needs Organize, create and maintain critical technical and functional documentation for solutions, including technical specifications, test plans and training materials QualificationsBA/BS degree and 10+ years of experience in Information Technology Experience (5+ years) with data integration and BI/reporting tools Extensive Knowledge of SAP BW 7.5 and SAP BI in Modeling, Reporting BEX Analyzer, Query Designer, System Administration, Table Storage Maintenance, Security, Experience with Business Objects Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) a plus 3-5 years with hands on ETL tools, data staging techniques, metadata tools, and data base designs Knowledge of SAP functional areas including: Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Finance and Controlling, and Inventory Experience with SAP S4 HANA a plus Proactive, great attention to detail, results-oriented problem solver Ability to deal with long term goals along with immediate performance concerns Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and teach engineers Strong communication skills and the ability to translate highly complex technical issues to non-technical audience Ability to work well with others Configuration Must be trustworthy and handle work of a confidential nature
