GROUNDS MAINTENANCE WORKER - BARNES RD

POSTING DATE: Open Until Filled FACILITY: Barnes Rd Maintenance - Westside LOCATION: Aurora, IL HOURS: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3pm; some weekends and overtime may be required. RATE: $15/hour - minimum starting rate TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal Part time Benefits QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will be energetic, reliable, enjoy working outdoors and isn't afraid to get dirty. Prior outside maintenance related experience preferred along with familiarity using various hand tools. Good communication skills required with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be at least 16 years old and have a valid Illinois Driver's License. Must be able to perform a variety of manual tasks in various weather conditions including high heat, cold, and humidity. Will be required to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Must also be able to work flexible hours with overtime during prime seasons. DUTIES Under the direction and supervision of the Park Grounds Supervisor or Crew Leader, the Park Grounds Maintenance staff member must take direction well and be sufficiently skilled to perform a wide variety of outdoor maintenance tasks with or without direct supervision. Duties include but not limited to: mowing/trimming grass, pruning, litter pick up, minor repairs to park elements, special event set up/take down, etc. This is an at-will position.
