Summary/Objectives:The Line Leader is responsible for the support of everyday production activities in the workshop, arranging the personnel, production, quality, safety, and cost control. Essential Functions: Support all shift production activity per production schedules. Support and observe all operators for their work performance. Support for production quality and cost control and outputs and yield rates Support and assist with achieving KPI targets to meet the company requirements. Line Leader will conduct a pre-shift meeting for announcement and review of the production. Support and review the daily inspection of each station pre-production preparations, work quality, production safety and compliance of employees with the 3 major operating instructions. Support with the Production Reporting and workshop quality documents and quality records, management and supervision of workshop tooling and tool Support and help develop employee job training and job transfer training and cross position development plan, and tracking the implementation of results Reporting Daily Attendance to Area Supervisor Support with the collecting of data for shift reports, conducting statistical analysis of shift production, and submitting quality reports to the plant manager for audit. Support and implement 5S and visual management, maintaining clean and safe working environment, ensuring items are in place. Participating in various activities of improvement and solving problems to improve quality, eliminate waste and reduce costs. Auditing authenticity of workshop production reports and system records, and compliance of inventories and accounts Understanding the workshop environmental factors, hazards, and their control methods Familiar with workshop material safety data sheets and emergency response measures. Responsible for Monthly WIP inventory accuracy. Familiar with post material safety data sheets and emergency response measures Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Leader Responsibility: Small group of 4-6 people Work Environment: This job operates in a production plant environment. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves walking and lifting up to 25 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Direct hire. Hours of work is 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week depending on the shift schedule. Travel: Little to no travel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and above 3-to-5-year manufacturing experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Preferred Education and Experience: Educated to degree level.
