Technical Accounting Manager

Job Title: Technical Accounting Manager Location Options: New York Employment Type: FTEAbout the Role Overview We are looking for a Technical Accounting professional to join a growing finance team and partner closely with senior leadership. This role provides hands-on ownership of complex accounting matters, revenue recognition, policy development, and financial reporting. The position is open at the Manager, Senior Manager, or Director level based on experience. Candidates coming directly from Big 4 or public accounting with strong technical expertise and software/SaaS exposure are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Lead technical accounting research and documentation for complex transactions (ASC 606, software capitalization, leases, M&A, impairments, and other U.S. GAAP topics) Review commercial contracts and assess appropriate accounting treatment Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities Prepare financial statement disclosures and technical memos Act as the primary contact for external auditors Partner with Sales, Legal, FP&A, and Product teams on accounting matters Qualifications Big 4 public accounting experience at Manager level or higher preferred Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP with deep expertise in ASC 606 Software or SaaS industry experience Proven ability to write technical accounting memoranda CPA required; ERP experience preferred (NetSuite a plus)
