SQL Server Development DBA/ C# Application Developer

Job Description An iMPact Business Group client in the Material Handling industry is seeking an experienced MS SQL Server Development DBA / C# Application Developer to troubleshoot and optimize Databases, SQL, and C# based systems used for Material Handling systems. Please Note: This role does NOT allow for Visa Sponsorship This is a Contract-to-Hire role which will focus on troubleshooting / reviewing / refining existing databases in production and educating Developers on best practices related to coding efficiently for MS SQL Server databases used for high-volume / high-speed transaction systems. This role also has responsibilities realted Application Develpment for the systems using these Databases. The ideal Candidate is both a SQL Server DBA and a C# Software Developer. This role will participate in supporting existing Material Handling solutions working closely with Developers at the Corporate HQ in New Jersey and may also involve some limited travel to Customer sites , if needed. This is an onsite role, so the ideal Candidate can commute to Moorestown New Jersey. No option for Remote with this firm. This role is for someone with strong MS SQL Server database troubleshooting and performance improvement skills. The Material Handling products using these databases involve modern software development technologies integrated with a variety of robotic, conveyor, and other material handling hardware. You're the right person for this role if - You're comfortable stepping into active deployments, troubleshooting, fine tuning, and seeing things through to successful operation. You can evaluate and help resolve performance issues with existing MS SQL Server databases. You have strong Database troubleshooting skills and experience. You are able to mentor Software Engineers on best practices related to Database Design and Application coding. You've built and supported high-volume, high-speed transactional databases . You've worked with industry standard Database Monitoring and Performance tools, ie. SolarWinds, AimBetter, dbWatch, Red-Gate, Idera... You also have a C# Software Development background and can do application programming as well as Database Design and Support. Job Requirements 5-10+ years MS SQL Server DBA experience (Development / Trouble Shooting / Perofrmance Improvement). Experience working with and coaching Software Engineers/Developers to produce efficient Database designs. Experience troubleshooting performance issues with large-scale high-speed MS SQL Server databases. Experience with MS SQL Server Database performance monitoring tools. Programming experience with - C#, Java, Python, SQL, RESTful APIs, JSON, Software QA (Python), Cursor Preferred Material Handling Database troubleshooting / support experience. Background in supporting systems for warehousing, automation, logistics, and/or manufacturing environments. Experience providing timely remote support and also experience troubleshooting at customer sites. Abilities Able to work independently with limited guidance. Collaborative with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, customer support). Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation. Comfortable interfacing with Customers and Vendors to diagnose and then create a solution. Willingness to travel for on-site investigation and support, if needed (not expected, but the potential exists).
