Description The Club at St. James in Southport, North Carolina is excited to announce the exciting new opportunity of full-time Heat, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service. Pay: $20 - $25 Key responsibilities of the HVAC Technician • Plans new or modified HVACs to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring and meet local buildings codes. • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles HVAC ductwork. • Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps in order to repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment. • Connects HVAC wiring to household power supply. • Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and thermostats in HVAC and refrigeration equipment. • Inspects, trouble shoots, and maintains HVAC and refrigeration equipment. • Performs any routine maintenance to the facilities refrigeration equipment. • Repairs or replaces any faulty, hazardous, or broken HVAC and refrigeration equipment. • Assists on projects such as HVAC and refrigeration equipment. • Participates in the weekend "on-call" schedule and responds to calls in a timely and appropriate manner. • Performs other duties as required. Minimum qualifications for the HVAC Technician • HVAC Technician Certificate from college, technical school or accredited facility, and two years of HVAC and refrigeration training and/or experience. • Valid Driver's License required.
