Job Description: Our client is seeking an accomplished and motivated Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their progressive small animal and urgent care team. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for companion animals and select exotic patients within a well-equipped and growing hospital. You'll play a key role in guiding the medical standards, mentoring colleagues, and shaping the ongoing development of the clinic's urgent care and general practice services. You'll be supported by a highly skilled team of licensed technicians, veterinary assistants, and client care staff who are passionate about maintaining a positive and efficient workplace. In this position, your responsibilities will include: Providing high-quality clinical, surgical, and dental care to small animals and exotics Leading the medical team, setting clinical standards, and mentoring junior veterinarians Collaborating with management on hospital protocols and best practices Overseeing case management, patient safety, and client communication Contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the urgent care service Qualifications Needed: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) with valid New York state license Minimum of three years' clinical experience, preferably including urgent care or leadership Strong diagnostic, surgical, and decision-making skills Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities Commitment to leadership, mentorship, and professional development Package: Additional pro-sal incentive model (22% production, no negative accrual) Earning potential exceeding $200,000 annually $50,000 sign-on bonus available for the successful candidate Relocation support offered for out-of-area applicants Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans Employer-matched retirement program and paid CE allowance Paid holidays, personal leave, and additional CE days each year Support for licensing fees, professional dues, and VIN/Plumb's membership Opportunities for long-term partnership and shared ownership model
