Senior Manual Machinist

Conhagen is seeking a Senior Manual Machinist for our Benicia, CA location. The ideal candidate should possess 10-12 years of machining experience. Overview: Perform machining operations on pump, turbine, and other equipment components at Conhagen's machine shop. Serve as a technical resource for complex issues. Knowledge: Familiarity with HSE procedures and regulations Understanding of machining speeds, feeds, and tooling Knowledge of pump and turbine components, critical fits, and surfaces Education/Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Vocational training in manual machining preferred Job Responsibilities: Fabricate parts from blueprints using various materials Use precision measuring tools Inspect machinery and adjust as needed Operate transportation machinery Ensure compliance with safety regulations Train apprentice machinists Distribute work and manage the department in the absence of the supervisor Skills and Abilities: Perform high-quality, efficient work independently Proficiency with measuring equipment (ID & OD micrometers, dial indicators) Expertise in advanced machining operations, including complex parts and milling setups Read, write, and speak English fluently Adhere to health, safety, and environmental procedures Complete company documentation accurately and promptly Experience: 10+ years of experience operating manual machining equipment Knowledge of rotating equipment components Leadership & Impact: Act as a resource for knowledge transfer and training Troubleshoot and resolve issues independently Work with minimal supervision, following standard practices Impact operational and financial outcomes through skilled work Ensure HSE performance and work quality, leading to customer satisfaction Join Conhagen and contribute to a team where your expertise makes a difference!
