Job Description The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing expertise and leadership in the planning and execution of daily human resources operations, including, but not limited to recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and development, employee relations, compliance, recordkeeping, compensation and benefits administration. Experience and Skills Responsibilities & Essential Duties Recruiting In coordination with the hiring manager, recruit, screen, interview and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions. Assist with the development of new job descriptions and maintenance of active job descriptions for all positions within the organization. Build and maintain relationships with post-secondary institutions, professional organizations, workforce development agencies and other community partners to establish recruitment resources. Employee Relations Maintain detailed knowledge of organizational human resources policies and procedures; support employees and supervisors with consistent interpretation. Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including compensation, benefits, time off and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations; performance management, productivity, recognition and morale; occupational health and safety, workers' compensation; training and development including staff credentials. Oversee the performance review process, conduct exit interviews and compile data for analysis and quality improvement. Communicate human resources related information to employees and support team building and workplace culture improvement activities. Training & Development Lead new employee onboarding and orientation. Coordinate with program directors to develop and monitor compliance with organization-wide and program-specific employee training requirements. Develop and implement ongoing Supervisory Training to support employees new to supervisory roles. Review, track and document compliance with required training, continuing education and credentialing requirements. Recordkeeping & Compliance Ensure employee compliance with YWCA HR policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge of state and federal labor, management and employee laws, EEOC guidance and requirements from referral and funding sources; ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws, regulations and requirements. Maintain accurate and complete employee HR records. Maintain high standards of confidentiality regarding employee, client and overall organizational information. Benefits Administration Provide comprehensive information to employees about available YWCA benefits and initiatives. Lead annual open enrollment process, enrollments and terminations. Continuously evaluate employee benefits program and propose changes to support employee retention and/or legal compliance. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field or equivalent experience A minimum of three years HR experience Knowledge & Ability Comfortable using and leveraging technology to efficiently meet organizational needs. Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams. Capable of independent judgment and exercising discretion in handling sensitive and confidential matters. Strong time management skills with the ability to take initiative to solve problems and work with minimal supervision.
