Respiratory Therapist Job Details Location: New Orleans, LA 70115 - Garden District and Uptown neighborhoods Healthcare Setting: Level 3 NICU, 16 beds Contract Type: Travel respiratory therapist job Start Date: January 12, 2026 End Date: April 13, 2026 Duration: 13-week contract Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 - 07:15), every other weekend required Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1520 - $1640 Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in a NICU setting (no first-time travelers) Active Louisiana or Compact State Respiratory Therapist license (must be in hand upon submission or applied for within 72 hours of signing) Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (AHA certifications only) COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted) 2 Manager/Supervisor references required for clearance (not needed for submission) Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities Provide high-quality respiratory care to neonates in a Level 3 NICU environment Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans Operate and monitor advanced respiratory therapy equipment; deliver emergency interventions as needed Accurately document patient care and progress per hospital and healthcare regulations Participate in emergency team assignments during facility emergency events Ensure compliance with all hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Apply now for this travel Registered Respiratory Therapist job in New Orleans, LA, and join a leading healthcare team dedicated to excellence in neonatal care!
