Sheet Metal Superintendent

Snapshot / Role Overview We're seeking a Sheet Metal Superintendent in Austin, TX to oversee sheet metal installation on commercial construction projects. Impact • Drive project success through effective field leadership • Ensure quality installation and code compliance • Support safety culture through active site management • Build productive relationships with project stakeholders Responsibilities • Supervise sheet metal installation crews on commercial projects • Coordinate with general contractors and other trades • Review shop drawings and ensure field alignment • Monitor quality control and workmanship standards • Manage material deliveries and equipment logistics • Conduct safety meetings and enforce safety protocols • Track labor productivity and project costs • Resolve field conflicts and installation challenges Requirements Must-Haves • 10+ years of sheet metal installation experience • 5+ years of supervisory experience • Strong knowledge of SMACNA standards and codes • Excellent leadership and communication skills • Blueprint reading and shop drawing experience Nice-to-Haves • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management • OSHA 30-hour certification • Experience with BIM coordination • Scheduling software proficiency Compensation & Logistics Competitive salary depending on experience; benefits include health insurance, PTO, holidays, and company vehicle.
