Utility Trailer Manufacturing / HCEW Management Services LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring seamless payroll operations, focusing on accuracy and timeliness. The ideal candidate will have experience in processing full cycle weekly and bi-weekly payroll in multi-states, has a knowledge of payroll tax, and wage and hour regulations. Key Responsibilities: The Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing and managing the entire payroll process for the company. This includes ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with all federal and state regulations, and providing exceptional service to our employees. • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, and other stakeholders in a timely manner • Process and manage multi-state weekly, bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls for all employees • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary changes, bonuses, overtime, and deductions • Work with HR and other departments to ensure that employee data is accurate and up-to-date – Validate data in WFM Workbrain delivered via automated feed • Process and manage multi-state tax liens, garnishments and child support orders • Compute and process final pay in accordance with state and federal law • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax withholdings, benefits, and direct deposits • Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll reports for management • Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and ensure company compliance • Reconcile payroll tax reporting and ensure timely submission of payroll taxes • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues • Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data and benefit deductions • Lead year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and reports • Suggest improvements to the payroll system and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy • Other business and organizational needs, as assigned Qualifications • 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a lead role • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software (UKG Pro required) • Strong knowledge of timekeeping software systems and multistate wage & hour laws as applicable to timekeeping • Comprehensive understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements • Comprehensive knowledge of multi-state tax liens, garnishments and child support • Experience with General Ledger and payroll accounting • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Enthusiastic team player with a solid commitment to creating a positive and engaging work environment Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.
