Position: Telecommunications Engineer Job Type: Full Time Department: Information Technology Location: HOLLYWOOD Posted: 02/02/2026 Job Description The Telecommunications Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing IT/telecom projects for the Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF). This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, focusing primarily on telecom infrastructure development and management. The Telecommunications Engineer is responsible for all aspects of construction on IT/telecom projects, including vendor selection, on-site management, and coordination of subcontractors, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) installers, and customer representatives, with a primary focus on telecom infrastructure. This role serves as the subject matter expert on construction issues related to new installations or modifications of infrastructure and equipment for coverage. Responsibilities include planning and oversight of macro cells, in-building DAS, and public right-of-way fiber construction. The Architect ensures all assigned projects are completed on time, within budget, design intent and in compliance with Seminole Tribe of Florida policies and objectives. • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus minimum seven (7) years' experience in telecom infrastructure design and construction -OR- Minimum fifteen (15) years' experience in telecom infrastructure design and construction. Proven experience managing vendors, contractors, and OEM installers. Strong knowledge of macro cell deployment, in-building DAS, and fiber construction. Familiarity with telecom equipment installation standards and best practices. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Possession of a valid FL Driver's License Proficiency in English written and oral communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Ability to travel to all STOF Reservations and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Benefits: The Seminole Tribe of Florida provides a comprehensive benefits package.
