Sr. Java Developer with AWS

Senior Java Developer (AWS)Location: Atlanta, GA Type: Onsite (Local candidates only) Interview Process: In-person interview required Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong AWS cloud expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in Java-based backend development, microservices architecture, and cloud-native solutions on AWS. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and active participation in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, RESTful APIs Experience building Microservices architecture Solid experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM) Experience with Docker and Kubernetes Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB) Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar) Proficiency in Git and Agile/Scrum environments Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka/SQS/SNS) Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) Exposure to frontend technologies (Angular/React) is a plus AWS Certification preferred Responsibilities Design and develop high-performance, scalable backend systems Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS Develop RESTful services and integrate third-party systems Write clean, maintainable, and testable code Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders Additional Requirements Must be local to Atlanta, GA Must be available for in-person interview Strong communication and teamwork skills
