Financial Specialist IV

Make an Impact in a key financial role in South Bend, IN!!! A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Specialist to support the coordination of treasury and financial operations. This role assists in ensuring consistent and accurate processing of cash receipts, accounts payable transactions, ACH and wire payments, bank reconciliations, and month-end journal entries within the organization's ERP system. The position also supports documentation of banking activity and provides general assistance with invoice processing across multiple departments. Key Responsibilities: Review and process cash receipts accurately. Prepare and process ACH payments, wire transfers, and related banking transactions. Assist with monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate. Prepare and post monthly journal entries for closing periods. Support the accounts payable team by entering invoices and assisting with routine AP workflows. Assist with gathering financial documentation for annual audits and external reporting requirements. Support the preparation of annual financial reports and schedules, including federal expenditure reporting. Perform additional financial or administrative tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. Minimum of three years of experience in financial operations or accounting preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial workflows. Experience with grant administration or audit processes is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
