At Kuehne+Nagel, our contribution counts in more ways than we imagine.?The Air Logistics Operational Care Center Manager is responsible to drive the OCC strategy by delivering excellent, customer-centric operational execution while maximizing profitability. Solutions oriented, sustainable and optimized, technology driven management of all OCC activities is critical. The OCC manager is responsible to lead and develop the OCC team. Engagement in business development activities by driving solutions and procurement is necessary, in full alignment with other stakeholders.How you create impact To lead the operational care center by example, be a role model for all employees To provide leadership and direction to the operational care organization To ensure operational excellence through high-quality service delivery according to the customer promise of all OCC activities To liaise with stakeholders to drive pricing strategies and business growth To maximize profitability through cost optimization To lead teams and initiatives to drive solutions and continuous improvements to manage cost-efficiency while delivering high-quality services To drive procurement and supplier management, in alignment with the governance model between gateway and OCC, where applicable To closely cooperate with Customer Service teams to gain required customer knowledge and exchange feedback about each team's service execution To closely work with KNGS, gateway, warehouse, customs and optimization teams, and other stakeholders as necessary To ensure technology and systems are utilized to their fullest extent, team structures and knowledge sharing allow for consistent service To continuously monitor and analyze the OCC performance to drive improvements To ensure compliance with respective regulatory regimes, industry and product standards, and KN standards and guidelines What we would like you to bring Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management preferred; degrees in Freight Forwarding or Logistics also accepted. 5-10 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related industry. Proven leadership experience managing direct or virtual teams. Strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations and import/export regulations. Understanding of KN products, systems, processes, and air logistics service offerings. Strong commercial acumen and familiarity with carrier relationships and market conditions. Excellent communication, decision-making, organizational, and time-management skills. Demonstrated ability to drive change, manage competing priorities, and work effectively under pressure. Strong leadership presence; acts as a role model for the team. Performance-driven mindset with a strong focus on service quality. High attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement. Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
