Summary We are seeking to hire an experienced Accounting Management professional for a Controller position at our corporate headquarters. The primary responsibility of the Controller involves pairing with the current management team to oversee the daily operations of the accounting team and accounting functions. Candidates must have solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills. They should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). General Responsibilities: As a Controller your daily duties will include but may not be limited to: Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions. Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results. Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements. Providing the CFO with information vital to the decision-making process. Managing the budget process. Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes. Evaluating accounting and internal control systems. Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed. Developing and monitoring business performance metrics. Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance. Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff. Requirements: The primary requirements of a Controller are: 4 Year BS or BA degree in accounting, finance, or economics. A minimum of 6 years combined accounting and finance experience. Experience in overseeing and managing accounting departments.
