Salary : $150,987.20 - $183,539.20 Annually Location : Sacramento, CA Job Type: FULL TIME (EXEMPT) Job Number: 2612-2026 Department: Internal Services Department Opening Date: 01/13/2026 Closing Date: Continuous Position Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is looking for a dynamic Human Resources leader to fill the Human Resources Managerposition. Under the direction of the Internal Services Department Director, the Human Resources Manager is a confidential position that oversees, leads, and participates in all activities of the Human Resources Division, including short and long-term planning, as well as the development and administration of policies, procedures, and initiatives for SacSewer. This class supports the executive team in a variety of administrative, coordinative, analytical, and liaison capacities. Assignments require knowledge of public policy, SacSewer functions and activities, including the role of the Board of Directors, and the ability to develop, oversee, and implement interdisciplinary projects and programs. Responsibilities include coordinating the activities of the Division with those of other departments and outside agencies and managing and overseeing the complex and varied human resources functions. This class serves as a direct advisor to executives and management on policies, procedures, and personnel related programs. Highly qualified candidates will possess extensive experience leading and managing the full scope of HR programs and activities with public sector employers. Note: A master's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
