The UCPath Center manages the payroll, benefits, and other human resources transactions for more than 265,000 UC employees working across ten UC campuses, five medical centers, three national labs and more. Learn more about the UCPath Center POSITION SUMMARY This role will be responsible for reviewing current business processes, updating process documentation, and identifying opportunities for improvement and collaboration across teams involved in Benefit Billing. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand workflows and propose actionable solutions that drive efficiency and streamline benefit billing practices. This role will provide exposure to various aspects of the billing process while fostering skills in process analysis, team collaboration, and operational improvement. Responsibilities Collaborate with the WFA Leave of Absence, WFA Benefits Billing and Finance Benefits Billing teams to identify areas for process enhancement and contribute ideas for streamlining billing operations. Shadow team members to create and update process documentation and training materials, identifying areas for improvement. Update and maintain comprehensive process documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency. Identify opportunities for standardization of business processes across Benefits Billing account managers Assist in the development of metrics reporting dashboards Propose actionable solutions that streamline billing practices and improve team collaboration. Contribute to the implementation of process improvements, tracking their effectiveness. Gain exposure to various aspects of the Benefit Billing process, while developing valuable skills in process analysis, team collaboration, and operational efficiency. Required Qualifications Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills Strong writing skills, including the ability to write clear and concise documents Ability to communicate technical information to personnel at various levels in the organization Familiarity with AI and other programs/tools used to streamline business processes Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to be flexible and adaptable as priorities evolve Required Education Currently enrolled in or graduated within 6 months from a University of California undergraduate program before the start of the program on June 22, 2026 SALARY AND BENEFITS The University of California, Office of the President, is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range shows the growth potential for this position and the pay scale is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
