ResponsibilitiesThe Nuclear Medicine Technologist 2, functions as a Scientific Technologist (Chemistry) must be fully trained and self-reliant with routine Nuclear Med Tech techniques and are required to enhance the department and service line by providing optimal exams and procedures. Works closely with the Nuclear Medicine Physician while performing the full spectrum of diagnostic imaging, analyzing biological specimens, assisting with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures including, preparing radiopharmaceuticals, administering them to patients, and using imaging devices to record the distribution within a patient's body. Responsible for patient safety protocols, maintaining all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements, and participates in CQI activities.QualificationsEducation Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or Associate's Degree in related field required Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred Experience 2 years of post-program graduate experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required Licenses and Certifications BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required CTNM - State of California Certified Tech Nuclear Medicine all scopes including venipuncture required Other Qualifications / NotesAdditional Licenses and CertificationsMust have one of the following primary certification: NMTCB(CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist ARRT(N) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology Additional post-primary advanced certification preferred: ARRT(CT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Computed Tomography NMTCB(PET) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Positron Emission Tomography NMTCB(NCT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Nuclear Cardiology Technologist Disclaimers• Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.• If any bonuses are noted, they are only applicable to external hires meeting criteria.
