This role combines customer-facing parts counter responsibilities with hands-on diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of small engines and related equipment. Leave the world a better place than we found it.A typical day looks like:Parts & Inventory Duties Assist customers and technicians in identifying and sourcing correct partsManage parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and cycle countsMaintain accurate records in the parts management systemProcess parts sales, returns, and warrantiesKeep parts department clean, organized, and properly labeledCommunicate with suppliers and follow up on backorders Small Engine Mechanic Duties Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines and equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, generators, snow blowers, etc.)Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, carburetor cleaning, and blade sharpeningTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issuesComplete work orders accurately and in a timely mannerTest equipment after repairs to ensure proper operationFollow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines Do you have what it takes? High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience with small engine repair preferredKnowledge of 2-cycle and 4-cycle enginesFamiliarity with parts catalogs, diagrams, and inventory systemsStrong mechanical and troubleshooting skillsBasic computer skillsAbility to lift up to 80 lbs and work in a shop environmentStrong communication and customer service skillsValid driver's license Why IES?
