Since 1979, we have been a leader in the field of substance use disorder treatment, providing addiction, behavioral health and family services to anyone who needs our help, often offering the only chance of recovery to the underserved and uninsured in our community. Annually, over 44,000 individuals - including family members, parents, teachers and students in California - receive our life-saving services: residential and outpatient treatment, continuing care, recovery support, school-based prevention and mental health services, and in-custody substance use disorder treatment and mental health services for male adolescents and adults. PHCA Benefits 15 Paid Holidays for eligible employees Pet, Life, Travel, Legal Coverage Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Retirement Plan Tuition Reimbursement and Continued Education Assistance Position Details Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Clinician is responsible for providing a wide variety of individual, family, and group therapy; case management counseling; crisis intervention; and advocacy services to families, children, and other clients in accordance with their specific therapeutic needs. A Day as a Clinician might look like the following: Your set work schedule is Tuesday - Saturday. Provides psychotherapy for residential/outpatient clients. On occasion facilitate group therapy or serve as counselor of the day. Attend mandatory meetings and trainings. Complete clinical notes and/or support AOD counselors and RSS Staff providing crisis interventions and de-escalations with clients. Complies with productivity standards of the Agency and maintains an appropriate caseload to reach the budgeted daily expectation of billable hours. Submits timely documentation (progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, notes to chart) as outlined in policy and measured via productivity reports. Continually assesses the needs and symptoms of clients and families (meets medical necessity) formulating a psychosocial diagnosis, gathering history, and determining the most appropriate method (s) of providing treatment/evidence-based practices (individual, family, group, case management, outreach, etc.). Participates in clinical/case supervision by coming prepared to discuss current caseload, documentation, and productivity; accepts constructive feedback and direction; and puts feedback into clinical and/or therapeutic practice with clients. To be successful as a Clinician, you will want to have: Master's degree in social work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field. AMFT or ACSW with current California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) Registration required. LMFT or LCSW with current California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) Registration a plus. Experience in Substance Abuse or Mental Health preferred. Experience with SAPC, DMH, Community Care Licensing, and other governing bodies preferred.
