Position Details: Certified Surgical Technologist- York ME Location : York ME 03909 Project Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 4 - 9 Hour shifts -Days scheduled between 6:45 am to 4:15 pm, + call rotationJob Description: We are seeking an experienced certified Surgical Technologist to join our OR Team. Job Summary: The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) assists in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel. The CST ensures that the operating room environment is safe, sterile, and properly prepared for procedures. Key Responsibilities: Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies. Ensure all instruments and equipment are sterilized and functioning properly. Assist the surgeon during procedures by passing instruments and supplies. Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon to ensure smooth workflow. Handle specimens correctly and ensure proper labeling. Assist with patient positioning, draping, and preparation. Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts according to policy. Clean and restock the operating room after procedures. Follow infection control and safety protocols. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Required. Knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques.
