We are seeking an experienced Lead Architectural Millwork Design Engineer to oversee the technical development, production engineering, and execution of bespoke millwork and custom cabinetry for high-end luxury residences in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional with deep expertise in custom millwork, architectural woodworking, and cabinetry engineering who can lead projects from design intent through fabrication and installation. You will collaborate closely with project managers, production teams, and field installers to ensure exceptional craftsmanship, constructability, and on-time delivery. With a strong and growing portfolio of luxury residential projects in Palm Beach Gardens, this position offers long-term stability and leadership growth within a high-performance millwork environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and engineer comprehensive shop drawings and production drawings for high-end architectural millwork projects Translate architectural and interior design plans into fabrication-ready documentation Lead drafting workflow, provide redline markups, and conduct detailed quality control reviews Coordinate with project managers, production supervisors, and installation teams to maintain schedules Prepare detailed material takeoffs, hardware specifications, and component lists Review drawings for constructability to prevent fabrication conflicts and field issues Oversee integrated hardware systems, specialty joinery, and appliance coordination Conduct shop walkthroughs to verify fabrication accuracy and quality standards Finalize and update as-built drawings upon project completion Requirements Extensive experience engineering custom architectural millwork and high-end cabinetry Advanced knowledge of woodworking fabrication methods, finishes, and material selection Strong expertise in specialty joinery, integrated hardware systems, and appliance integration Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring or managing drafting/engineering teams Proficiency in industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, SolidWorks, or similar) Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to precision craftsmanship Strong communication skills and cross-department collaboration ability Ability to manage multiple luxury residential projects simultaneously Benefits Competitive compensation Paid Time Off (PTO) and recognized company holidays Ongoing professional development and advancement opportunities Consistent pipeline of high-end custom residential projects Collaborative, craftsmanship-focused team culture
