Look no further!We want you in the Department of Student Life as our next Russell House Events Coordinator!Primary duties include:Scheduling events and activities in the Russell House University Union and select campus locations Event planning with students, faculty, staff and external clients Educating users on facility policies and appropriate utilization of the Russell House University Union and points beyond. Hire, train, and supervise student employees and interns/graduate assistants. Provide oversight for Information Desk and assist with communications to facility stakeholders and users Manage and develop budgets. Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other CredentialsPreferred Qualifications Experience working in a university setting with activities and event planning. Knowledge of an event planning software. Understanding of student development theory. Pending graduates will be considered if they will be able to obtain their degree by the date of employment. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Verbal, written and organizational skills. The ability to manage multiple tasks and concurrent requests with a high level of accuracy. High degree of discretion. Job Duties Job Duty Serve as primary scheduler for events and activities which take place in University Union facilities. This includes event planning functions with clients and campus partners. Ensure events are following facility policies and appropriate utilization of Russell House. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 50 Job Duty The Event Reservations Coordinator supervises the Event Reservation Specialist Team by reviewing, processing, and managing all event requests for the Russell House University Union. This role ensures that submitted events meet established guidelines, coordinates with internal teams to confirm space availability, and helps secure necessary resources such as equipment and technical support.
