Travel RN - Pediatrics

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Behavioral Health position requiring both behavioral/psychiatric and med-surg experience, with 1 year of travel nursing experience required. Job Details • Inpatient pediatric behavioral health unit within a children's hospital setting, • Travelers will float between the main Kansas City, MO campus and a sister facility in Overland Park, KS, approximately 12 miles away, • Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30), • Patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4, consistent with other inpatient units, • 13-week contract, Job Requirements • Active RN license required - must hold both a Missouri (or Compact) license and a Kansas state license; Missouri or Compact license must be active and in hand, Kansas license may be pending at start but documentation of application is required, • Current AHA BLS and PALS certifications required; RQI certifications are not accepted, • Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required, • Behavioral/psychiatric nursing experience required, • Med-surg nursing experience required, • Pediatric nursing experience preferred, • Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration, • Two professional references from a supervisor level or higher, completed within the last 12 months, required for consideration, Additional Information • This is a smoke-free and nicotine-free campus; the facility tests for nicotine, • Medication/dosage testing is administered during the first week; a score of 100% is required to pass, with three attempts allowed, • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate,
