Position: Business Intelligence Engineer ILocation: Bellevue, WA 98004Duration: 6 Months Job Type: Temporary Assignment Work Type: Onsite Job Description We are seeking a Data Visualization Specialist to join our BEAD (Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment) Analytics and Reporting team for a 6-month engagement. This role is critical to establishing a comprehensive analytics infrastructure that will support program performance tracking, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder reporting across multiple public funding contracts. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in data visualization with strong business acumen to translate complex contractual requirements into intuitive, actionable dashboards. This position offers the opportunity to build foundational analytics capabilities that will enable data-driven decision-making and streamline reporting obligations for a major broadband infrastructure initiative. Job Responsibilities: Design and develop intuitive, user friendly, interactive dashboards using AWS tools leveraging mapping capabilities Lead the visual design process from wireframing to final implementation incorporating user feedback and stakeholder requirements Implement best practices in information hierarchy and visual storytelling Collaborate with data analyst and data engineers, creating requirements and incorporating into dashboards Create and maintain documentation for dashboard features and user guides Design mobile-responsive visualizations that maintain functionality across different devices and operating systems Measure and optimize dashboard performance and user interaction patterns Skills and Qualifications: Experience with AWS data visualization tools and dashboard design Strong business requirements writing skills Proven ability to lead visual design processes from concept to implementation Experience with mobile-responsive design and cross-platform compatibility Ability to work with complex regulatory and contractual requirements Experience partnering with cross-functional teams including data analysts and engineers Knowledge of information hierarchy and visual storytelling best practices Experience with mapping and geospatial visualizations Knowledge of broadband infrastructure or public funding programs preferred Purpose of the Team and key projects: The role requires a Business Intelligence Engineer Level 1 contractor with strong data visualization skills and experience architecting reporting platforms. The candidate needs 3-5 years of relevant experience and proficiency in AWS QuickSight or similar tools like Tableau. The position demands collaborative skills to work with multiple technical teams, gather requirements, and translate them into design solutions. Top 3 Must Have Hard Skills: Data Visualization Specialist AWS QuickSight preferred but Tableau experience acceptable Nice to haves: Program manager experience Leadership Principles Client leadership principles of customer obsession and dive deep will be emphasized during candidate evaluation.
