ResponsibilitiesSafe operation of all Hot Mill area cranes Scrap disposal using of mill cutting torches Operation of Hot Strip Mill sample shears Continuous observations and recording (written and electronic) of coil quality data. Operation of both automatic and manual strapping equipment Various utility functions assigned by area supervisor QualificationsStrong safety awareness and fluent with our TCOS program Good communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic) Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently without direct supervision Works well with others and independently Quality and detail-oriented Mechanically inclined Willing to work scheduled and unscheduled Ability to work routinely in a hot Repetitive stretching, reaching, lifting, and walking will be required to support routine responsibilities Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
