Description This position will safely operate a 6' riding mower to maintain turf in parks, athletic fields, trails, and other public green spaces. The work schedule is Mondays - Wednesdays (an occasional Thursday, as needed) from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Approximately 15-20 hours per week. The season begins mid-April and continues through October/November timeframe. Examples of DutiesLoad and unload lawn mower onto trailer for transport between park sites. Safely maneuver lawn mower and trailers within park facilities, parking lots, and maintenance areas. Operate 6' riding mower in a responsible manner to maintain turf in parks, athletic fields, trails, and other public green spaces. Perform light servicing and routine maintenance of mowing equipment, including fueling, checking fluids, cleaning, and basic upkeep. Maintain a neat appearance of mowing areas and report any equipment issues or site concerns to a supervisor. Deals effectively and courteously with fellow employees and the general public. Minimum Job RequirementsNo experience is necessary. Basic knowledge of riding mowers and ground maintenance is helpful. The Village of Fox Crossing does not offer benefits with this position.
