Preferred Candidate The Estimator will manage bids and estimates while serving as the primary contact for many of our clients and vendors. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities and personalities. We are looking for someone who is motivated, strategically creative, and tactful. The Estimator will work closely with management and support teams to ensure total customer satisfaction and maximize revenue. Take Ownership Be Present and Punctual Deliver Expert Quality Aim for Excellence Communicate Effectively Collaborate as a Team Player Responsibilities Receive and track bid and estimate requests. Prepare estimates and bids by reviewing RFPs for project details, conducting takeoffs from bid documents, and researching products and materials as needed. Maintain continuous communication with project managers, production teams, and installers to assess costs; reach out to subcontractors and vendors for quotes; and clarify project scope and resolutions with clients and general contractors. Utilize estimating tools to generate pricing. Review preliminary estimates with management for approval. Submit final estimates to clients. Assist project managers by estimating costs for change orders. This position will initially be onsite with an eventual transition to a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will have: 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within signage and graphics, custom fabrication, millwork, exhibit/display, or a related field. We are open to considering candidates with a background in fabrication or installation and will provide training in estimating. A solid understanding of materials and fabrication techniques. The ability to read architectural and engineering drawings along with interpreting specifications. Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage directly with clients, contractors, and vendors, ensuring successful bids, relationship building, and profitability. Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a capacity to manage multiple urgent deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, with the capability to learn new software as needed. Compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and certifications.
