Experience conducting salary survey submissions and market analysis using compensation tools such as Salary.com, MarketPay, or CUPA-HR data to inform equity reviews and compensation benchmarking. Position Summary The Classification & Compensation Analyst, within University Human Resources, supports the university's workforce structure by performing job classification, position management, and compensation analysis in alignment with federal, state, system-wide, and institutional requirements. Reporting to the Director, this role evaluates positions, reviews salary actions, maintains accurate job and position data, and ensures the consistent and equitable application of classification and compensation standards. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and apply policies and guidelines objectively, consistently, and in compliance with regulatory and institutional requirements. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Strong knowledge of classification methodologies, compensation principles, and wage and hour regulations Demonstrated ability to analyze job content, salary data, and equity indicators Ability to interpret and apply policies, guidelines, and regulations with consistency and accuracy Strong written communication skills, including documentation of evaluation rationale Ability to work independently with minimal direction High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information Physical Demands Standard office environment with prolonged computer use Is driving a responsibility of this position?
