Summary: Advanced Care Partners, one of Inc. 5000's fastest-growing companies, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated CNA/HHA to join our team at Advanced Care Pediatrics, a medical model childcare setting for children with special needs. You will play a vital role in providing direct care to our individuals, promoting their development and well-being through activities, support, and positive interactions. Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one care for individuals in a medical model childcare setting, adhering to company policies and the individual's care plan. • Offer positive reinforcement and implement behavior management strategies in accordance with center policies. • Assist with bathing, toileting, feeding, and other hygiene needs, ensuring cleanliness and comfort. • Prepare and serve meals and snacks, supervise rest periods, and ensure proper nutrition. • Offer comfort and support, including holding, rocking, and bottle-feeding infants as directed. • Assist with mobility and positioning, using equipment such as chairs, prone standers, and AFOs. • Closely monitor individuals for any changes in health or behavior, reporting concerns to the nurse or administrator. • Accompany children on field trips and outings, ensuring their safety and well-being. • Observe and engage in children's play activities, fostering development and social interaction. • Maintain a clean and safe environment by sanitizing toys, equipment, and linens according to infection control protocols. • Support children's emotional and social development, promoting empathy, understanding of others, and positive self-image. • Identify potential emotional or developmental concerns and communicate them to the appropriate team member. • Never leave a child unattended and always prioritize their safety Qualifications: • One year of experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or healthcare setting. • Excellent references verifying strong skills in caring for children with special needs. • Current CPR and First Aid certifications. • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray results. • Satisfactory criminal background check. Physical Requirements: • Reliable transportation to and from the center. • Ability to stand, lift, and assist in lifting individuals in an emergency. • Good flexibility for bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting. • Strong visual and hearing acuity. • Manual dexterity for grasping and manipulating small objects. • Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations. #IND1
