This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys patient care, thrives in a clinical environment, and is looking for a long‑term career path in ophthalmology.Key ResponsibilitiesPhlebotomy Duties (Immediate):Perform safe and accurate venipuncture for blood draws.Properly label, handle, and prepare specimens for processing.Maintain sterility, safety standards, and accurate documentation.Ophthalmic Testing Duties (Training Provided):Conduct basic vision screening and diagnostic tests (visual acuity, tonometry, OCT, visual fields).Document patient history and encounter details in the EMR.Prepare patients for examinations and assist technicians and physicians as needed.Learn and adhere to ophthalmic testing protocols, equipment handling, and patient flow.QualificationsCertified Phlebotomist (required).Strong clinical experience with patient interaction.Ophthalmic experience is not required — training will be provided.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and professionalism.Ability to learn new equipment and medical procedures quickly.Bonus Skills (not required):Prior medical assistant experienceBilingual (English/Spanish)Experience in any vision‑related field
