Under the general direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst performs a variety of complex tasks, either independently, on a team, or in a project lead capacity, designs, organizes and conducts complicated and wide ranges of research and analysis of Attorney General's Office (AGO) legal case management databases designed to monitor program mandates, support date integrity/quality improvement initiatives, and analyze legal service effectiveness for the state agencies of California. The Analyst performs a variety of complex tasks in support of the Quality Control Team that resides in the Case Management Section (CMS). The Analyst assists in the development of quality improvement and statistical measures, benchmarks, and reports for dissemination to staff, stakeholders, and executive staff using data management and analytical software, such as Microsoft (MS) Excel, and visualization/reporting software such as Cognos. The Analyst analyzes AGO legal case management databases, such as ProLaw, to provide advice, assistance, and to inform management of data integrity issues and uses data findings for issues. The Analyst will analyze the most complex issues and make recommendations to the Supervisor I and will implement decisions instructed by the Supervisor I. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement . Working Conditions This position has been designated as eligible for telework and is currently a remote-centered position. The position may however require in-person attendance when requested. The selected candidate would report to Department of Justice headquarters in Sacramento if/when required to attend mandated in-person meetings, trainings, etc. Expenses related to travel to the office for required events are the responsibility of the employee.
