Job Description Part-Time School Social Worker - Illinois January-June 2026 A local Illinois district has partnered with Clarifi Staffing Solutions to bring on a dedicated School Social Worker for a part-time assignment through the second half of the school year. This opportunity is well-suited for a licensed professional who values meaningful student connections and prefers a reduced weekly schedule. From January 5 to June 3, the selected candidate will be on campus two days each week, supporting students during the regular school day (8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.). The social worker will play an important role in addressing social-emotional needs, offering short-term counseling, and working collaboratively with school staff and families to strengthen student engagement and overall well-being. Job Snapshot: Provide direct social work services to students. Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate. Offer individual and small-group social-emotional support. Assist with implementing behavioral interventions and strategies. Help students develop coping skills and strengthen social-emotional functioning. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success. Contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment where all students feel supported. Requirements School-based experience is highly desirable and will enhance a candidate's suitability for the position. Applicants should have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required, and candidates must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the School Social Worker endorsement.
