Job DescriptionSURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a General Laborer for a client in Itasca, IL. The General Laborer candidate is responsible for efficiently removing mail from the sorting machine and accurately placing it into the designated trays. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workplace. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $17/HR as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include: 2nd: 4:45pm - 3:00am (M-F) Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Responsibilities of the General Laborer: Remove mail from the sorting machine and place it into the correct trays with a high level of accuracy Ensuring the machine-bin number matches with rack-tray number All mail placed nice and neatly, facing the front of the tray Clear jams and remove mail from pockets when they become full Transfer mail from large trays to smaller trays as directed by the machine operator Replace full trays with empty ones and insert corresponding tags in tray pockets Move full tray to the conveyor Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times Required Qualifications of the General Laborer: Ability to read and identify numbers Ability to lift mail trays weighing up to 40 pounds Ability to stand, bend, and twist throughout shift Strong agility and multitasking skills Strong attention to detail and concentration Reliable attendance and punctuality Responsible, committed, and a team player Experience in the mailing industry, conveyor systems, factories, warehouses, or shift work preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment About Surestaff At Surestaff, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
