Skipwith Academy - Lifeguard

LLE Education Group provides educational experiences for infants through school age children at multiple locations across Virginia. We are looking for highly enthusiastic Lifeguards for our Summer positions working Monday through Friday. We currently have positions open in our Skipwith Academy at Hanover location. The Lifeguard is responsible for supervising children in/at the pool to maintain a safe environment. The Lifeguard will also perform daily pool maintenance. Duties and Responsibilities: • Supervise children in the pool to maintain a safe environment. • Perform lifesaving skills when necessary. • Clean the pool and the pool grounds. • Monitor the chemical levels in the pool. • Record child counts daily. • Must be able to give the "swim test" to determine a child's restrictions (if any) in the pool. • Maintains a professional appearance. • Interacts politely with co-workers and acts as a role model for young children. • Attends all meetings and training sessions. • Must commit to working for the entire summer. • Other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: • Lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing, sitting and bending. Supervision Received: • Reports directly to the Center Director, with occasional direction from the Corporate Pool Supervisor. Qualifications and Experience: • Lifeguard certification (preferred) • First/Aid CPR certification (preferred) • Pool Manager's certification (preferred) • Previous experience in childcare (preferred) • Background Check (required) Training can be provided to candidate you meet the necessary requirements.
