Job Category Claims Compensation Overview The base salary range for this position is between $67,000.00 and $110,600.00. Your exact salary will depend on various factors, including the complexity of the role and your individual qualifications. We also offer performance-based cash incentives as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program. What Is the Opportunity? Exciting new opportunities are on the horizon! This position involves handling Personal and Business Insurance Auto Bodily Injury claims from the initial notice of loss to resolution, including settlement and payment processes. You will need to interpret and apply laws and statutes across multiple state jurisdictions, focusing on moderately complex bodily injury claims. Your role ensures quality claim management throughout the lifecycle, adhering to internal and external quality standards, and complying with state-specific regulations. What Will You Do? Customer Experience: Provide outstanding service during the claim process by ensuring prompt communication, setting expectations, and maintaining follow-through to reach optimal outcomes. Coverage Analysis: Analyze and interpret policies for bodily injury liability claims to confirm eligibility, coverage limits, and proper application of deductibles and co-insurance. Investigation and Evaluation: Conduct thorough investigations to determine liability, damages, and other relevant facts by interacting with policyholders, claimants, and medical professionals. Reserving: Establish and maintain appropriate reserves for claims, managing documentation and diary systems effectively. Negotiation and Resolution: Determine settlement amounts, negotiate settlements, and manage both represented and unrepresented claims. Insurance License: Acquire and maintain necessary insurance licenses as required by state regulations within three months of your start date. Perform other tasks as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? Bachelor's Degree. Two years of experience handling bodily injury liability claims. General knowledge of claims handling and litigation processes. Strong customer service orientation and ownership of tasks. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Proficiency in Windows, Excel, and Word. Intermediate verbal and written communication skills. Analytical and decision-making skills. Knowledge of negotiation and investigation principles. What is a Must Have? At least one year of experience handling bodily injury claims or completion of the Travelers Claim Representative training program. What Is in It for You?
