Please see the minimum qualifications list below for each levelEntry Level - $85,000 Mid Level - $90,000-$110,000 Sr Level - $117,000-$143,000 PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION The Civil/Structural Engineer performs advanced technical and engineering problem-solving to support nuclear plant operations, makes critical technical decisions, and possesses comprehensive knowledge in their discipline and its practical applications, along with detailed understanding of relevant industry codes and regulations. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs. Offer technical consultation through direct involvement in identifying and resolving equipment and system issues. Manage complete engineering tasks assigned by supervision, applying engineering principles effectively. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes in the preparation of plans and specifications. Conduct independent research and analyses to support technical projects and programs. Recommend new equipment, concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, simplify construction, minimize costs, address design flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations. Perform other assignments and duties as required or directed by management, including emergency response duties and call-out responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Entry Level E01 Engineer – New Graduate B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) Must maintain access requirements and pass a favorable medical examination and/or testing as dictated by position duties. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-level E02 Engineer B.S. in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of Nuclear or related engineering experience. Must meet additional qualifications as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard for selection, qualification, and training of personnel for Nuclear Power Plants. Must maintain access requirements and pass a favorable medical examination and/or testing as dictated by position duties. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior E03 Engineer B.S. in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of Nuclear or related engineering experience. Must meet additional qualifications as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard for selection, qualification, and training of personnel for Nuclear Power Plants. Must maintain access requirements and pass a favorable medical examination and/or testing as dictated by position duties. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Professional Engineer Registration Advanced technical degree or related coursework This position is based out of the Ginna Clean Energy Center in Ontario, NY.
