Job Description

The External Life Insurance Wholesaler plays a crucial role in developing effective strategies and business plans to foster new client relationships while enhancing existing ones. This position involves actively selling Guardian's proprietary Life Insurance products to maximize sales and meet targets. A strong travel schedule is required within the assigned territory to conduct meetings and presentations with financial representatives and agencies. Your Responsibilities Travel extensively to the Guardian General Agencies within the assigned territory to drive business growth. Maintain a robust pipeline of business opportunities. Participate in industry conferences and regional events to promote Guardian products and attract new interest. Proactively initiate sales calls, provide innovative sales ideas, and identify new sales opportunities. Track and report on activities weekly to ensure progress and accountability. Monitor competitors’ practices and provide insights to the Head of National Sales. Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and complete special projects as needed. Serve as a thought leader, educating and developing the field force on Life Insurance solutions. Expect to travel weekly, with travel comprising 60%-80% of your time. Measuring Success Consistently meet and exceed sales targets. Increase the number of productive producers within the Life Insurance segment. Build and sustain collaborative relationships across all levels of Guardian. Your Qualifications Goal-oriented with a strong focus on achieving success. Collaborate effectively with Internal Wholesalers to manage relationships within your territory. Possess deep knowledge of the competitive landscape and financial markets. Excellent presentation skills are essential. Experience of at least 5 years in wholesaling Life Insurance, particularly whole life, is required. Strong understanding of the competitive marketplace. Demonstrated ability to cultivate and enhance relationships with key stakeholders within Guardian. Comprehensive knowledge of the business and market dynamics. Proven team player with exceptional communication, interpersonal, influencing, organizational, and presentation skills. Outstanding client relationship management capabilities. Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. Education & Experience A Bachelor's degree is required. A minimum of 5 years of wholesaling experience is necessary. Professional designations such as CLU, ChFC, or CFP are preferred. Salary Information: $90,000 - $105,000. This salary range is a good faith estimate based on the primary location of the position. Final salary will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, knowledge, and abilities. The role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
