Title : Mechanical Design Engineer Location : Grand Prairie, TX - Hybrid Contract : 12Month Contract to hire Citizenship Requirement: US Citizenship required Shift : 4/10A-1st Shift Pay : $70.00/hr - $92.00/hr on W2! Job Description The candidate must work onsite greater than 50% of the time with long stretches of working onsite full time. A Mechanical Design Engineer is required to support the Common Autonomous Multidomain Launcher (CAML) Program. The program focusses on the design, build and test of a prototype launch system for a variety of weapons. The successful candidate must demonstrate innovative approaches to resolve difficult problems, both with design issues that are found as well as overcoming challenges with testing on a tight timeline. The candidate will create and/or edit detailed component and subsystem designs release CREO models following Model Based Definition practices. The successful candidate must demonstrate highly innovative approaches to resolve difficult design issues and will be responsible for creation detailed component and subsystem concept designs and mature those designs to released CREO models following Model Based Definition practices. Required Experience: Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience with ProE CREO. Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience with Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool navigation. Candidate must have 4-6 years experience with 3D Models Candidate must have 4-6 years experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office tools. Desired Experience: Prior experience working launcher development, fabrication and development testing in lab environments as well as Model Based Design is highly desired.
