Network Engineer: Internet Service Provider

This position is an in-office position located in Ringgold, GA. Hours may vary from the standard 8:00 am -5:00 pm EST depending upon the need. Must be able to commute to the office daily and must be able to work overtime as necessary. Completion of the application in it's entirety is a requirement in order to be considered for the position. Required Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in ISP or service provider network engineering. • Strong understanding of BGP routing policies, IS-IS, EVPN, and MPLS. • Proficiency with Layer 2 technologies, including VLANs, trunks, QinQ, and private circuits. • Experience managing fiber access networks and related transport systems. • Working knowledge of DHCP, DNS, and IP address management. • Familiarity with network automation frameworks and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible). • Ability to design and maintain highly available network topologies with redundancy and SLA focus. Key Responsibilities • Design, deploy, and manage ISP network infrastructure spanning multiple regions across the country, ensuring scalability, reliability, and consistent service delivery. • Configure and support BGP, EVPN (active-active), and Layer 2 private circuits. • Manage network SLAs and performance metrics, ensuring high availability and uptime. • Support and optimize fiber-based access networks, including GPON and XGS-PON. • Administer and troubleshoot DHCP and DNS systems. • Develop and deploy network automation tools and workflows (Python, Ansible, or similar). • Create and maintain detailed network documentation and topology diagrams. • Work collaboratively with NOC and field teams for service delivery and incident resolution. • Participate in on-call rotation for network escalations. Preferred Experience • Hands-on experience with Arista, Juniper or Cisco hardware and software. • Familiarity with Arista CloudVision and AVD (Arista Validated Designs). • Experience with access platforms such as Calix, Adtran or Nokia. • Experience with DDI platforms such as Infoblox, Bluecat or Efficient IP.
