Job Description Lead and manage the estimating team to ensure accurate and timely preparation of cost estimates for construction projects. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure competitive pricing and effective collaboration. Oversee the preparation of detailed cost analyses, budgets, and bid proposals. Review project plans and specifications to identify potential risks and opportunities. Implement and refine estimating processes and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure seamless transition from preconstruction to execution phases. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and cost fluctuations to provide informed recommendations. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance. The Successful Applicant A successful Director of Estimating should have: A strong background in construction estimating within the business services industry. Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Proficiency in utilizing estimating software and tools. A keen eye for detail and ability to identify potential project risks and opportunities.
