Location: East York, PA Department: Tooling / Production Reports To: Production Supervisor or Tooling Manager Job Type: Full-Time | On-site Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Die Set-Up Technician to support our production operations in a fast-paced metals manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for installing, aligning, and removing dies and tooling on production equipment to ensure efficient and accurate metal forming processes. Key Responsibilities: Set up and install dies on stamping presses, forging machines, or other metal forming equipment according to production schedules and specifications. Ensure proper alignment, fit, and function of dies and tooling before releasing equipment for production. Perform die changes, adjustments, and minor repairs as needed to maintain production flow. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot die-related issues and minimize downtime. Inspect dies and tooling for wear or damage and report findings to the Tooling or Maintenance department. Maintain accurate records of die setups, changes, and maintenance activities. Follow all safety procedures and ensure proper handling and storage of dies and tooling. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical training in manufacturing or machining preferred. 1-3 years of experience in die setup or tooling in a metals manufacturing environment. Familiarity with metal forming equipment such as stamping presses, forging hammers, or hydraulic presses. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Proficiency in using hand tools, hoists, and precision measuring instruments. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with progressive or transfer dies. Forklift or crane operation certification. Basic knowledge of die maintenance and troubleshooting. Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S practices. #JDP
