Job Title: Senior PL/SQL Performance Enhancement DeveloperLocation: Onsite - Omaha, NE or Remote Employment Type: Contract Experience Required: 10+ Years Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PL/SQL Performance Enhancement Developer to lead database optimization and performance improvement initiatives across enterprise applications. This role requires deep expertise in PL/SQL development, execution plan analysis, and advanced database performance tuning, along with strong collaboration skills to work closely with DBAs, application teams, and offshore development teams. Key ResponsibilitiesPL/SQL Development & Optimization Design, develop, and enhance complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers. Refactor and optimize existing PL/SQL code for improved performance and scalability. Conduct detailed dependency analysis and execution plan evaluations. Performance Tuning & Monitoring Analyze SQL execution plans and identify performance bottlenecks. Implement indexing strategies, query optimization, and code tuning best practices. Utilize monitoring tools to track performance metrics and generate reports. Drive iterative performance improvement processes. Deployment & Governance Develop deployment scripts and support release management processes. Implement robust exception handling and logging mechanisms. Maintain technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials. Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with DBAs and offshore development teams to ensure optimal database performance. Provide leadership during performance reviews and tuning initiatives. Engage with clients and stakeholders to explain performance issues and recommend solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL development. Strong expertise in advanced database performance tuning and optimization. Deep understanding of SQL execution plans, indexing strategies, and query optimization. Experience with monitoring tools and performance reporting frameworks. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Experience collaborating with DBAs and distributed teams. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
