Job Description

Location: Washington, DC Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $18-$22/hour (DOE) A busy and mission-driven mental health clinic in Washington, DC is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional to provide temporary Mailroom and Administrative Operations support. This essential role supports the clinic's day-to-day operations by ensuring timely mail processing, responsive service ticket management, and efficient administrative assistance. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, while maintaining strict adherence to procedures and confidentiality standards. Key Responsibilities Coordinate all incoming and outgoing mail, including shipping, receiving, and inventory of supplies Operate and maintain postage machines and mailroom equipment Monitor, respond to, and resolve internal service tickets using OfficeSpace or a similar work-order system Provide administrative support for Facilities Operations projects and service requests Draft, respond to, and manage professional emails and internal communications Send and receive documents via electronic fax systems Answer and appropriately route calls using the Smartcare phone system (training provided) Follow established clinic protocols, procedures, and compliance standards Required Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (email, scheduling, and inbox management) Prior mailroom experience, including shipping/receiving and supply tracking Experience with OfficeSpace or comparable ticketing/work-order platforms Strong written communication skills and professional email etiquette Familiarity with digital fax systems Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Willingness and ability to learn clinic-specific systems, including Smartcare Adaptable and responsive to changing priorities Additional Requirements Excellent attendance and punctuality are imperative Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM This temporary position offers a valuable opportunity to support a high-impact team dedicated to delivering essential community mental health services. #SN
